My work focuses on the ethical and inclusive use of technology to generate positive shifts in complex global systems. I have worked on projects in a multitude of areas, including responsible innovation workshops, AI models to counter online hate and gendered violence, generative ML models for strategic foresight, integrated therapeutic systems for chronic pain, soft robotics, software for phone scam prevention, wildfire field communication, DEI employer matching, and embodied cognition through empathy-building technologies.
Prior to obtaining my Master in Design Engineering, I worked on global projects in big data and financial inclusion, striving to increase equitable access to economic empowerment for low income communities. My Fulbright research focused on overcoming barriers to economic inclusion in remote Andean and Amazonian regions, and upon returning to the U.S. I worked with interdepartmental faculty and directors to launch the Harvard Business Analytics Program (HBAP). I have since led the creation of multiple programs in the areas of Responsible Innovation, Generative AI, Emerging Economy accelerators, and more.
Through subsequent roles, I hope to further the implementation of inclusive tech futures and augment the role of impact investing as a force for societal progress. My key areas of interest are responsible AI, gender and racial equity, online safety, accessibility, and economic disparity, and my hobbies include hiking, martial arts, and improv theatre.
I am a huge believer in interdisciplinary approaches to a variety of global issues, so if you have an interesting article, company, project, or simply a comment to share, please don't hesitate to reach out! I'm always happy to exchange knowledge and make new connections.
